TECHNICAL SUPPORT · SAFE, OPERATOR-LEVEL CHECKS
Wireless Remote Control Troubleshooting Tool
Identify the symptom, follow a model-aware checklist, and prepare a clear fault report for Nomi's technical team. This guide focuses on safe external observations—not live electrical testing, equipment disassembly, or changes to safety settings.
Safety comes before troubleshooting
If the machine moves unexpectedly, a command does not stop movement, the emergency stop does not behave as specified, or any person or equipment may be at risk, stop using the remote control immediately. Follow the machine manufacturer's emergency and isolation procedures, keep people clear of hazardous areas, and contact an authorized technician. Do not continue this checklist for an uncontrolled-motion or emergency-stop fault.
Never bypass an emergency stop, interlock, receiver protection, or other safety function. Do not open energized equipment, probe live terminals, rewire a receiver, or change safety-related parameters as part of this online guide.
STEP 1 · IDENTIFY THE SYMPTOM
What is happening?
Choose the closest symptom. Complete only checks that are safe, visible, and permitted by the manuals for your exact machine and remote-control model.
STOP · SAFETY-RELATED FAULT
Do not continue online troubleshooting
If motion is unexpected, the machine fails to stop as intended, or the emergency-stop function may be faulty, treat this as a safety-related problem—not a routine radio fault.
- Use the machine's established emergency response procedure. Keep people away from the machine's hazardous and movement zones.
- Secure, isolate, or take the equipment out of service only in accordance with the manufacturer's procedure and by authorized personnel.
- Do not reset, restart, or resume operation until the cause has been assessed and the required safety checks have been completed by qualified personnel.
- Contact Nomi and the machine manufacturer or authorized service provider. Report the exact machine and remote-control model, the sequence of events, and any visible fault indications.
Suggested subject: Safety-related fault — stop / unexpected movement concern
Record the machine and remote model, the exact sequence of events, whether the stop function behaved as specified, any visible display indications, and what safe-state measures have already been taken. Do not run the machine again just to reproduce the fault.
STEP 2 · SYMPTOM-SPECIFIC CHECKLIST
Follow the checks you can safely verify
These checks are limited to observations and normal user-level actions described in the applicable manuals.
OPTIONAL · WHO SHOULD RECEIVE THE REPORT?
For quicker review, you can separately attach clear photos of the model labels and visible indicators when emailing the report. Only take photos when it is safe; do not remove covers or enter hazardous areas.
STEP 3 · NEXT ACTION
Recommended next step
The tool prepares the report in your browser. Copy it into the contact form or your email, or download it as a text file. It is not automatically transmitted or saved by this webpage.
HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE
What this troubleshooting tool can—and cannot—tell you
The same symptom can have different causes across transmitter models, receiver versions, machine control circuits, and installation configurations. For example, a transmitter that powers on while the machine does not respond does not, by itself, prove that the receiver has failed. The radio link, machine control mode, receiver supply, output interface, configured function mapping, and machine-side controls may all need qualified review.
This tool helps you record which basic observations are normal, abnormal, or unknown. It cannot remotely read the receiver, confirm radio pairing, diagnose an internal circuit, prove hydraulic-valve compatibility, or certify that a machine is safe to operate. Model-specific indicators and pairing procedures must come from the correct product manual.
Power and startup
Start with the battery or charging state, normal power-up sequence, and visible condition. Stop if there is heat, swelling, leakage, odor, or impact damage.
Connection and range
Record transmitter and receiver status as described in their manuals, the operating location, visible antenna condition, and whether the environment recently changed.
Function response
Record whether all functions or one specific button/axis is affected. Function mapping, receiver outputs, and machine-side control interfaces may require engineering checks.
Unusual motion or stop fault
Treat unexpected movement or a stop-function concern as safety-critical. Stop using the system and follow the machine's emergency procedure; do not troubleshoot while operating.
BEFORE CONTACTING SUPPORT
Information that helps the engineering team investigate
- Identification: machine make/model, transmitter model, receiver model, and serial or ID label information where available.
- Symptom and timing: what stopped working, when it began, whether the fault is constant or intermittent, and which function is affected.
- Visible status: display messages or indicators described according to the exact manual, without assuming colors or blink patterns are universal.
- Recent changes: battery replacement, maintenance, relocation, impact, water exposure, or installation/configuration work.
- Safety state: whether equipment has been removed from service, and whether an emergency stop or safety circuit is involved.
Do not reproduce a fault that could cause movement, defeat a safeguard, or expose anyone to danger just to collect more information. An authorized technician should decide what further tests are appropriate.

FAQ
Wireless remote control troubleshooting FAQs
The transmitter turns on, but the machine does not respond. Does this mean the receiver has failed?
Not necessarily. Possible causes include the radio link or pairing state, receiver power/status, the machine's approved control mode, a safety condition, function mapping, or the machine-side interface. Record the indicators as described in the exact manual and ask an authorized technician to investigate unresolved issues.
Can I pair the transmitter and receiver again to fix the problem?
Only use the documented pairing procedure for the exact model, and only when the machine and work area are in the safe condition required by the manufacturer. Pairing sequences vary by product and can affect machine control. Do not try generic button combinations or enter configuration mode based on an online guess.
Should I open the receiver or check the wiring with a meter?
Not as part of this online troubleshooting guide. Opening enclosures, measuring energized circuits, changing receiver wiring, or testing machine-side outputs should be handled by qualified personnel following the applicable electrical, hydraulic, and lockout/isolation procedures.
What should I do if only one joystick axis or button fails?
Keep the machine in the required safe state. Record the exact control label, intended function, whether other controls are affected, and the visible status information. Do not reassign controls or swap wires to test a theory. Function mapping and output diagnosis may require the product configuration record and machine wiring documentation.
Does this tool store my machine or contact information?
No. The tool generates the checklist and report in your browser. It does not automatically send or store your entries. You decide whether to copy, download, or send the report to Nomi. If you use the email/contact link, your mail client or the website's contact form handles that separate action.
General guidance only. The machine manufacturer's instructions, the applicable remote-control manual, site risk assessment, and authorized service procedures take precedence. A completed checklist is not proof that a machine is safe to operate.
